What a week...

Am I glad its Friday!

Work has been just crazy. Every day after work I feel like my brain is mush. Well anyway this post will be short I can't even think anymore. I did however get to play with some pics that I took over the weekend. I did a fun story board for my sister in-law Sheri of her kids which I love and I hope you do to! I just love the editing side of things.

I week from today and we close on our old house and our new one. We plan to move into the appt. mid week next week. The fun begins......

I've Got to Do something...

Ok so.... I live to shop some days. Have you ever just had the issue where you can't control your self and you have to spend money. I even get a rush from buying grocery's because its called SHOPPING. WHY????? I can't stop. I wish I could get paid to shop. So when I shop, guess what doesn't happen? You guessed it, I don't save money and I don't get closer to my goal of a new Laptop and Camera!

So hopefully this week I can get some time to sit down and make out a budget for myself and Tom and I. That way we can really manage our money better during our remodel. (10 days until we close!) Im hoping by doing a personal budget I can work to set aside money for my big purchases and then also have some play money for my shopping sprees (which wont be huge but enough to control the urge.)

On a fun note over the weekend my niece Jordana was my model and let me practice some photography with her. It was fun. Hopefully I will get them posted soon.

Country Girl

So... For those you who know me, know that Im a CITY GIRL! Well for those that know me now or still know me, know that I live out in what I call the Boon Docks, country living at its best. We have a lovely home on 3 acres and soon to be done with and on to a new home on 15 acres which will one day be a lovely home. Well any ways my Husband is a country boy all the way and he's always trying to convert me. I must say hes tried his hardest and has been a little successful (our home/location!) but I always end up finding my way back to City Living (shopping is and always will be my all time hobby!). However I think he got me last night. He just recently bought a new four-wheeler which he already had one but this one is 4X4 so its bigger and better. Well he thought it was time to teach me how to drive the older one and then go out for a drive with Reid in tow. So I agreed and sure enough it was a very fun time. Don't get me wrong I've been on 4-wheelers before but I was always the passenger so being the driver on your own machine is much better. Perhaps Tom and I just found a hobby we can do together? :)

Im always trying to find things that Tom and I can do together because its hard sometimes when you come from two very different back grounds growing up or you just have to many hobbies gender specific that neither one whats to even think about doing. Im sure most of you know what Im talking about. I guess we will just have to wait to see if it really turns out to be something we do together!

A Walker, Teether and Winer....

Sorry its been so long since I've posted its been a long few days. I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor day! I got to spend it packing up my house which was good because now all thats left is the stuff we need at the appt. or stuff thats going to the new house. I did get to see my parents, we celebrated my Dad's 51st b-day on Friday at Dean and Sues (my fav. bar in menomonie!) and then sat. we worked.

So during that time my little munchkin has been a walking machine, hes everywhere! The past two nights he found an empty cupboard and climbed in except he gets himself stuck, its cute! He also started teething again (the runny nose and creakiness is BACK!) Last night it didn't matter what we did he just wined all night long. I hope this passes quickly its no fun to listen to.

As for the house stuff, where working on all the paper work and trying to get that all done by 9/19 we also get the appt. a week before so plenty of time to get everything moved over. I just want to get it over and done with I don't like this in between stuff right now. Well I hope all of you have a good week and hopefully I can post more often then before.

Waiting Game...

Well I didn't get to much done over the weekend in regards to packing but I guess I do have 4 weeks until we have to be out so why rush it? So that I can live out of boxes, I'd rather not. My sister had left her apple laptop at my house a few weekends ago and I thought she had photoshop on it so I decided to logon and see if I could remember anything from back in the day with photoshop. Well come to find out she had illustrator which Im definitely not familiar with so I used her iPhoto program to play with some of my favorite pics. So take a look, let me know what you think. Some are from our camping weekend and others are just snap shots of Reid, and Paige. I was trying to be aware of the natural light.

Well I had to change up my first camera class because we've decided on moving into our appt. that weekend so I moved it to November, hopefully my Mom will be joining me. Its just a basic camera course but I guess I better know the ins and outs before i go and invest in advanced camera. Im trying to insure that during this house stuff for the next couple of months doesn't pull me off track and cause my goals to slip, I guess I just need to make sure I prioritize correctly.

Packing will begin

So Tom and I will start packing this weekend. We found a storage shed to rent for supper cheap so we can store everything that we don't need at the new house during construction and at the appt. Tom is going to look at an appt. tonight in Menomonie. So I guess I get my city living for a little bit which will be fun. I can take Reid to the park and easily get to things without having to worry about spending the money on gas. Im also going to look into taking Reid to a Mommy and Me swim classes if I can still get in this fall. Something to keep us busy while Daddy works on our new home.

I haven't been able to spend much time on photography which makes me sad but I've just got to make the time. I've been talking to a few friends at work and they offered there children for me to take pictures of to practice and hopefully I can take some nice pics for them to use as mile-stone pics for there children. Krista's daughter will be turning 1 in Sept. and then Jen will have a newborn baby girl in early oct. as well as her 3 year old boy. Can't wait, thanks ladies for letting me practice! Gotta start somewhere! I also found a new website that new photographers post to and look for comments etc on there work, this will give me some fun ideas for the future.

We Got It!

So a lot has happened over the past few days. We decided to make an offer on the house last Friday. The owners asked that we give them until Monday to decide. Yesterday we got the call that our offer was close and they wanted to talk. Tom went and talked with them and we accepted there counter. WE HAVE A NEW HOME! But we need to make it our home first. Where looking to close in mid-Sept. assuming we can find an appt. to rent while we remodel.

Last week when we first looked at this house I was absolutly discusseded and said no way and now look im so excited to make this our home, I have a vision that I can't wait to make reality(I just hope it matches our budget!). So the planning begins, it will be nice to have time to look at all the options and make the right decisions without to much pressure because of time. We will have 6 months.

As for the rest of my life.... Reid is starting to take some steps on his own we got about 6-7 in a row over the weekend, it wont be long and he will be off and running. Yikes! My diet has suffered a little since our Trip a few weeks ago and now with everything that happend the last week, I have to stay on track otherwise I wont meet a goal and that just can't happen. So for those around me I need your help remind me not to eat bad things and get my but in gear and work out!!!
